Here is an opportunity for our TASMN network churches to join and work together on an activity that greatly benefits some of the most needy in our local community. This offering to our homeless neighbors of “a cup of cold water” can be our collective Stephen Ministry spiritual commitment in action. Please consider promoting this November volunteer activity at your church. We will pack lunch bags at ST. Andrew’s, beginning at 9:00, finishing around 11:40.
Volunteers can feel free to leave at 11:40 or continue on to Moore Square to distribute the lunches. Often there is a group of the homeless and hungry waiting; greeting them and giving out the brown bags is a gratifying part of this experience.
Volunteers are asked to bring any of the following:
- Homemade cookies-our special mission, 2-3 to a ziplock bag to be packed. Any congregational members willing to bake-greatly appreciated!
- Either lunch meat or cheese slices (whatever amount) for sandwiches
- ziplock bags and/ #8 paper bags (any amount)
Specialty Bags will also be donated to the homeless and volunteers are asked to donate as many of the
following items as you feel led:
- Deodorant
- Razors
- Shampoo
- Soap
- Tooth brushes & Tooth paste
- Wash Cloths
- Tissue Packets
- Lip Balm
- Lotion
- Men's White Socks
- Men's T-Shirts / Underwear (Size L & XL & XXL)
- Gently used Men's coats, sweaters, pants, shirts, shoes, boots, blankets, gloves, and scarves
Further details to follow in September.

- Donations are welcome in order to support the TASMN Web Site services and scheduled TASMN events.
Click here for information about how to make a donation. Perhaps adding TASMN to next year's Stephen Ministry budget would be appropriate.
